Emarat Gear Max 85W140 is an API GL-5: These are multipurpose gear lubricants for differentials, manual transmissions and other gears of automotive equipment where MIL-L-210513 , MIL-L-2105C or MIL-L-2105 D or API Service GL-3 , GL-4 or GL-5 requirements are specified. They are ideally recommended for hypoid gear applications where loading is severe and excellent gear protection is required. Caution must be exercised to ensure that these oils are not used in equipment where the manufacturer specifically recommends API GL-4 or less only.
